The 10th edition of the international, interdisciplinary conference series Nexus: Relationship
between Architecture and Mathematics, which will be held 9-12 June 2014 in Ankara, Turkey, will
comprise a workshop especially dedicated to the research of Ph.D. candidates and those who have
received their Ph.D. during the biennium 2012-2014, to take place on the last day of the conference,
12 June 2014.
This event is sponsored by the Department of Architecture of Middle East Technical University
(METU).
The “Nexus 2014 Ph.D Day” will be an international and multi-disciplinary meeting for Ph.D.
students involved in scientific research in the fields that are connected to the theme of the Nexus
conference: the relationships between architecture and mathematics. It is intended to promote
didactic exchanges and interactions between various schools and doctoral students from different
countries.In parallel with the poster session of the conference, another special poster session will be
specifically dedicated to the presentation of Ph.D. theses and Ph.D. research in progress. This will
give Ph.D. students the opportunity to present their work to an international academic community.
